Nose of dark fruit, cassis, juicy. Touch of pyrazines suggest fair portion of Cabernet Sauvignon in the blend. Mellow on the palate. Tannins are friendly. Easy gentle Pauillac.
Great value for money below 30 Eur.
Chateau belongs to AXA and wine is produced in Pichon Baron facilities by the same team. Indicative blend 55% Merlot, 45% Cabernet Sauvignon.
Short decant and needed more as it’s very young. Cherries, cedar, and ample oak on the nose. Wine has medium depth and medium tannins. Cherries dominate the palate with some pumpkin spice. Medium minus finish. Overall solid every day wine that is more New World than old.

We bought this wine at the Bordeaux winery the summer of 2015. We are in quarantine during the Covit 19 pandemic and this wine brought back great memories and had aged well. It is 55% Merlot and 45% Cabernet. The cork was almost black when we pulled it. Nose of cedar, dark plum smokey notes. Initially it was a bit tannic and dry but it opened up after 30 minutes. Plum, dark cherries, graphite and smoke notes. Initially it had a medium slightly acidic finish. This smoothed out and became more intense with a long finish after it had breathed some.

has three years left, perhaps more. Pleasant, forward fruit but a bit unripe on the finish. Overall, punches above its weight class.

Dense deep purple,
Aroma of violets
Bitter dark currant flavors,
Dry finish. Easy enough now, may dry out with more time.
