Good depth of black fruits, toasted spices, fennel and gravel on the nose. Palate echoed the nose. Medium-bodied. Good depth and polished. Finish is clean and lingering. Ready to drink now and will continue to develop for the next 3-5 years.

Somewhat lean on the mid-palate and finish, reflecting this vintage. Structured with tannin & acid. Starting to resolve now to smooth out the wine, in good drinnkable shape for a few more years probably before it starts taking on much more tertiary notes.

Decanted two hours. Not sure why this wine was so much better than my previous three bottles but this was outstanding. Melding of Merlot and Cab Franc and even 10% Cab Sauvignon in this blend. Dirt, tobacco, leather and chocolate. I LOVE St Emilion when this all comes together. I’m actually inclined to look for more of this now. This was so smooth and harmonious and drinking much better than the 14’s at this point.

Decanted 90 minutes. Dark black color. Merlot dominates. Wine is smooth but doesn’t have the flavor layers or complexity of a great vintage (09, 10). Finish is short and a bit tart mid palate. There is also some green notes to the wine although minimal but it is there. Easy to drink but not interesting. Just a quaff. That’s it.

Good on day 1 and even better on day2. Interestingly it showed more secondary flavors on the first day (plus tannins) and then on day 2 the tannins faded and I got more fruit flavors. Anyways I enjoyed this
