Happened to be tasted alongside a 2007 Clendenen Nebbiolo. Double decanted. Ruby red to lighter on the edges. Took about 30min to 1hr to open up. There was the tiniest hint of funk on the nose here, and it wasn't so fitting. Nice coffee and clove notes on the nose with some medicinal herbs and nice mix of bright red and dark fruits. Vibrant acidity. Medium bodied. Chalky tannins and an slightly acidic finish, with more time, the tannins are pretty gripping. This is still a young wine, so it would be interesting to see how this does with some age.

Typical Brunello nose. Lots of cherries meets acid typical of this wine. Not a lot of backbone. Drinking well now but will age nicely. At 1 hr the wine was ok, but at 2 hrs it had aged into a very well balanced wine. At the price I bought another half case.

Very strict, monastic wine. Very well structured, but we couldn't get into it.
