  • 14% abv, which shows a bit too much. I didn't have time to decant, but this could use it. Scorched earth nose that is otherwise closed, likely due to my non-decanting. The palate is a hair thin and very tannic, with the tannins overpowering and drying out the finish a bit. But there seems to be pretty nice fruit underneath, that should (I hope) shine with many more years of age. The finish is pretty quick at this point (other than the tannins) and the fruit lacks persistence/deep substance. This was perfectly fine with food if you want to drink it now, otherwise hold for a while and hope that it becomes more generous.

  • Gav den en times luft inden første skænk. Drak den derefter over 3 timer. Indledningsvist meget lukket, åbnede sig gradvist, men selv efter fire timer virkede den langt fra færdigudfoldet. Duften meget indsmigrende med kirsebær, hindbær og noter af tjære og skovbund. Smagen mere mørkfrugtet og med både ret kraftig alkohol og tanninrig. Vil ikke tage skade af en del mere år på langs.

  • Decanted for 5 hours. Aromas of raspberry, tar, rose petal, cherry and you can smell the alcohol on the nose. Flavors of raspberry, iron, tar, black cherry and earth. Even with the 5 hour decant still had some tannins. Ends with a tar, iron and raspberry infused finish of 25-30 seconds. Probably needs a bit more time to come around. Can’t imagine what this would have been like with a pop and pour.
