I decanted this wine for around forty minutes after putting just the slightest chill on it. When I pulled the cork it was close to being disintegrated, and I was worried about the wine. There however, was no need to worry. Very earthy, and plush on the palate, some tannins still working there, really persistent coloring to this wine. As in very limited age showing on this wine. I will be raving about this one for awhile.

Very nice traditional Brunello close to its peak. First tasted, without decanting, the tannin structure was very apparent but in a positive way. These was good, ripe tannins holding everything together giving the wine focus. Plum, spice, earthy. all of the expected elements are there, well proportioned. It tasted slightly tired the next day suggesting that the wine is close to its apogee. Looking forward to other vintages

Most difficult cork I've ever pulled. Thought the bottle exploded when it popped. The wine was fine though. Red fruits with smoke and spiciness and a 30 second finish. Still a tannic structure. Enjoyed with pasta and veal.

Bought a case of this from Federal Wine and Liquor in Boston, leading shop for financial district. Have opened 6 bottles of which 3 were corked, one pruny and on the edge. The other two beautiful but at too high a price.

Took an hour to open up. Was tight and musty. Slowly the fruit and tannin came back into an absolutely eloquent mature wine.
