PnP weeknight wine. Dark ruby/garnet, fading towards the rim. Nose was medium-low intensity with some faint blueberries, blackberries, plums, and violets, spiced with firm black pepper heat and a faint hint of oak. Nice and smooth on the palate with some focused tannin and a touch of acidity, but overall very well integrated. The fruits/berries were confirmed on the palate along with some black plums and oak. Some saltness/minerality as well towards the finish brought some interesting structure. Day two & Three the nose opened up a bit more and became slightly more intense. Very easy drinking with almost 50% Merlot. Pretty awesome QPR all things considered.

not pretentious: middle of the road Bordeux. Mellowed out noticeably in the last 8 yrs, still plenty of tanins but drinks much easier now, dark fruit (plums, cherries) not too much of cassis (which is a plus for me). as another user said: can drink this forever.

Apart from Rossfuol, the notes below can't be right. This is a very fine wine, but one that seems to have lost its place in the wine hiereachy. It simply is not on the radar. A non-entity, a cheap wine, hardly worth thinking about
But this bottle in front of me contains depth and at least the promise of complexity, given time (and all of that for the 2012 vintage!).
It is diffcult to get over our preconceptions of wine and their status, and simply drink them and assess them for what they are.

very elegant, nose is 94+ taste at around 90.. well balanced, between fruit, acidity and tanins. Not super heavy.

Quite bitter on the palate with some grumpy, rough tannins. It did soften a bit over an hour, but its pretty scratchy right now.
