southern Rhone style focusing on orchard fruit, floral and herbal and honey. This is white not based on acidity but structure. Oily and mineral but naturally sweetish due to high alcohol and lots of dry extract. Still has 5 years plus left if you ask me. Still finding its balance but the quality of the fruit is undeniable. Not an easy wine and will not please all.

A close look up to Gourt de Mautens style (Marseille, France): Refrigerated brutally (sorry) and decanted 30 min. Superb mature hue. Mouth this time clearly identified with hay, pear jam, and prunes in "eaux de vie" (a french strong spirit). Structure is again made mostly by alcohol (gives a lot of fat), a nice amount of bitterness (less than in the 2010) and some acidity, a bit more present this time thankfully. 87 The balance is preferable in this bottle: it has been served very fresh, and because this new vintage has a little more acidity. Much more appreciated by my blind tasters. This white experience strengthening our belief that southern whites has low potential of aging because of a lack of acidity.
