Purchased from the man himself. Had to run around Chassagne village looking for an ATM to get euros lol.
The nose is absolutely astounding. It's like, the platonic ideal of a flan. It is LOUD. But then also something like pumpkin butter, daphne and cool slate.
The palate does not match that intensity. Nice texture and even a bit oily, a kind of russetted apple vibe, taylor gold pear, that sort of thing. A fair bit of grip keeps it around with an echo of the nose; especially bringing that kinda pumpkin (like kabocha) thing out, filling it out with spices like ceylon cinnamon, a touch of hay and grass, obviously a touch of wood. There's a bit of chantrais melon even that lingers.
Day two, though the nose became slightly turned down, the finish picked up. I have no idea what this means for aging; it's white burgundy, are you feeling lucky? I'll probably drink my other bottle in the next few years.

Quite golden color but fresh and pleasant. No early evolution, just a little ripeness.

Golden color. Lovey, clean minerality, lemon and slate with white peach and flowers. Graceful and delicate.
p.s. homemade tuna salad with grilled cheese, avocado and bibb lettuce

A bit dry and subdued. Nice Montrachet but definitely middle of the road. Good not wow.
