  • Really amazing today. Interesting and complex nose with peach, petrol and smoke. Racy and clean palate with citrus and a pretty long finish with a lot of minerality and tasty sweet fruit. I forgot i had it in june, but its more mature and better today.

  • These wines are wonderful when they are not prematurely oxidative but they so often are, I bat around .500 with Niellon and when they are on, they are really on and classic or they are so badly premoxed you don't even have that moment of "maybe it's ok?", it's just dead. Natural cork and I also recently had a cork slip into the bottle when I used a Coravin on one as the needle was going into the cork which has never happened to me so maybe the corks don't fit well enough in the neck. They are reasonably priced most of the time so if you double the price and it's still worth it since you may have to pour one out for every bottle you drink like I have, than it could be worth your money and cellar space but I will not be buying anything else until the corks change to DIAM and as of 2020 according to reviews they are listed on the WA review as "As ever, bottling is under natural cork." I detect more than a hint of cynicism from WK in that quote

  • Beautiful, brilliant light golden yellow with green sprinkles

Quite reductive nose, but after an hour beautiful pineapple, lemon zest and tangerine emerge, with a distinct saline streak

Tightly wound and mineral on the palate, lots of substance and energy. Good length.

A very good Chassagne with lots of potential. 91 points for now. Next bottle in two years.

  • Nice nose with lemon, pineapple and a touch of anise.
This is a big and concentrated white, with clear cut lemon and a long finish with quite some punch and nice acidity, thats a little tight so maybe this might develop. Not an elegant burgundy but tasty.
