Although this wine might be considered as "old" by the CT community and professionals such as Mr Parker, it is still a nice experience. Much of the fruit is gone but the crispiness is still there. As a companion to freshly boiled lobsters and shrimp - this wine is more than all right.

Sea shell, clean, apple and pear. Citrus, lime and spice. My notes here are precise and lean in tone, much like this wine that was just razor and money. Probably as good as the 2001 Inox for me and a treat to drink.

Melville Wine Dinner (Antonello Ristorante - Costa Mesa, CA): Reminds me more of a sauvignon blanc than a chardonnay. Nose of gooseberry (cat pee?) and lime followed by hay and flint flavors. My least favorite wine of the evening. 84-85 points.

Big Dinner with some Big Wines (Little Giant): While I tend to like my Chardonnay to have gone through malo, this was excellent and I may have to rethink that bias. A very pure expression of the variety, it showed very floral with loads pear and interesting granny smith notes. The lack of oak is pretty shocking and you keep looking for it like a phantom limb. Plenty of fruit on the palate, but it is the ample minerality and green apple acidity that gets your attention. It is sharp, not creamy. Very fine effort and I enjoyed this more than the '04 that I had had previously. A wine that makes you go hmmm.
