I thought this was a French Chardonnay, but it actually is made from Verdello with alot (too much, really) oak handling. The fruit was perhaps a little obcured by the wood, but it was an enjoyable wine - a great one to pull at an options game. Parker gives the wine 89pnts, which I think is a little generous. A pleasent wine, but kind of nondescript - inocuous fruit flavours - it did not seem to present any kind of different flavour spectrum thanks to the different grape from the ordinary oak aged chardonnay.
