I almost labelled this Chablis a generic straight forwarded table wine after the first glass with predominantly red fruit and not much else..
3.5 hours later on with the second glass, wow! what a transformation.. There's nice savoury white peppery tomato coming through with dried fig and slight leather and sandlewood.
Medium fruited, medium bodied, medium tannins and acidity and medium + length.
Actually quite enjoyable and a pleasant surprise..

Dark color with a mild nose. On the mid palate the wine displays some red berries along with some mild minty notes. On the medium length finish the wine displays some lively acidity firm tannins and firm dryness. As it breathed it eased some with the fruit coming through a little more than at first. Probably a bit too young. I would give it an 88 or so. I would have to say for the price I have had better Chiantis.

- Garnet color. It's lacking fruit with a light/medium body. Smooth texture with a medium finish.

Velvety smooth with a long finish. Light berry flavor. Tastes better than it smells.

A bit smooth, soft, not much to dislike but not a great deal going on. Easy-drinking.
