  This wine is one of potential, as currently it is a bit reticent. A streak of oak on the nose, and plenty of brooding, dark fruit. Black cherries on the palate. There is some rusticity here, a feral/iron note that adds intrigue. A good line of acidity and well-structured.
  
  Though a very different style than the domaine's current wines, this is very nice in its own right, though it is begging for further aging.

  Clear medium ruby. Delicate floral notes reminiscent of violets mingle with crushed raspberry. Crisp tannin structure and bright acid frame robust red berry fruit. Compact and robust rather than elegant, yet correct and appetizing.
