Sorta strange bottle. Seemed to have elements of both new world (darker fruit for a pinot) and old (acid and an angular nature). Usually these in-between pinots are very much in my wheelhouse, but this bottle was just awkward.
My first experience with this wine, but not with ABC (which I am a fan of).

Very open nose. Full, fat, oaky. Cinnamon and almost coffe roast. Butterscotch and cola. Thus, not very elegant but rich. Medium-fullish, generous and fruity palate that comes across as almost sweet when compared with 2011 Armand Rousseau Mazy-Cham. Lush, spicy, liquorice and cinnamon. But also a bit clumsy. Very NW-pinot. Had expected more freshness.

Good nose, had lost some fruit since the last time I tried it. The wine had entered a closed phase. Wish I would have drunk it a year or two ago, though it will be interesting to se how this wine will be in 5+ years.

More accessible than a year ago. Great balance, depth, and complexity for the price point. Aroma/flavor profile consistent with my previous notes. ABC makes great, old-world style Pinot, and this one should be good through 2022. Technical score: 92. Enjoyment score 92.
