toasty and a little smoky, dried blood, purple and red fruits, grapefruit and orange, dried flowers... a little tense compared to the other poulsards on the table, also more tannic, and opens up continually, but I didn't really take the time to see it blossom, my loss I think... it was very tasty, and went quickly in my glass

Based on previous reviews, I was concerned about this wines longevity, but it was drinking quite well. Light ruby/orange color. Medium(+) aromas of hard candy/ sweet cherry with a perfumed elegance. Nice palate of strawberry and preserved cherry. Medium acidity and medium tannins. Could drink this all day.

Light bodied, bright, lean. The tannins creep up on you as you keep sipping. I don't think this is a crowd pleaser but the subtlety and rusticity appeal to me. I like this wine. I think it would probably be better in the spring or summer but it's a style I would buy again.

Agree with others on this: on the simpler, thinner side of Puffeney's Poulsard. Pale translucent red color. A bit of underripe strawberry. Doesn't show much grip or complexity. Usually I'm a fan of this wine.

I'd agree that this is far from the most complex Poulsard that I've had, bit it is a very appealing, lightbodied rendition of the grape that provides much pleasure. Will it get more complex with time? Dunno.
