Amazing for a 15yo wine. Complex, fresh, some citrus, mostly stone fruit aromas. Stunning palate. The old vines bring their inevitable additional flavour and balance and the impression of lower acid, yet not. Wonderful weight. Amazing flavours for just 11.5 alcohol. Drinking wonderfully but could well do so for another 20 years.

Late night at home. Screw-cap. Drank in Gabriel Standart. Appearance is clear, pale intensity, lemon colour. Nose medium+ intensity, with aromas of honey, toastiness, honeysuckle and other floral scents reminiscent of Riesling, citrus lime, green apple/pear, grapefruit, chalk, maybe a hint of petroleum. Developed. On the palate, dry, high acidity, low alcohol (11.5%), medium- body. Medium+ intensity, with flavours of honeysuckle, sweet green apple/pear, grapefruit, chalk. Medium+ finish Very good quality. Great complex nose. Palate somehow seems more simple, though nonetheless a greatly enjoyable drink. Has aged well and can keep for many more years though it isn't necessary for more enjoyment than it already provides.

Oldest Marsanne plantings on the planet, damn. I opened this with zero expectation in mind, but boy did it deliver. Pale lemon green in the glass. Blasting aromas of freshly picked green apple, pear, honeysuckle, lime zest. Nose so fresh, you'd think this is fake wine. Palate is light with zippy acidity. A simple wine by all means, don't seek complexity here, but for this money, I'm buying a case of it straight away and bringing it to everyone's tasting. Stunning value.

Nose of concrete dust, with notes of citrus fruit, lime leaf, and brown bread. Palate shows firm minerality and acidity. Flavour of mineral water, with hints of lemon, chalk, and concrete. Oxidation gives it a hint of sherry flavour, but not enough to be interesting.

Powdery and chalky. Dry sherry flavour, with hints of lime and aloe vera. Not much fruit, but interesting flavour and texture.
