  • Just entering its drinking window. Starting to really soften and develop some floral, yellow-fruited characteristics on the nose. Palate is soft and approachable, with a pronounced intensity to the mouthfeel and a medium finish.

  • Nose initially reminded me of a late harvest Riesling but there is no sweetness here and legs evaporate as they descend on the glass so body is relatively light. But the taste is full of citrus fruit and nicely balanced. Finish is mildly tart but not “hot” at 11% ABV.

  • 11% alcohol, bright acid, but texturally taught and waxy. very distinctly australian, and hihgly reduced, just a hint of lemon, green melon and tropical starfruit. on its own.

  • (no formal tasting notes)

An intriguing nose of savory shiitake mushroom, petrol, leather, beeswax, smoke, licorice root, honey, asian pear, and lemon. On the palate the wine is refreshing with medium+ acidity, low alcohol (11.0%), a light body, and a little bit of phenolic bitterness on the finish. The flavors are a bit more fruit forward focusing on zesty citrus and crisp asian pear, but some of the umami and earthiness from the nose is present in the mouth as well. A really unique and delicious wine that will most likely continue to age gracefully for many more years. A wonderful value, and worth seeking out!
