{screwcap, 11%} Still quite a pale straw colour. Mildly developed nose of rockmelon, paw-paw, and a greasy, lanolin/sheep’s wool sort of character. It’s at once light-bodied, and yet seemingly dense, an impression caused by the relatively low acidity. Or at least that’s the initial impression; there is an acidic presence right at the end of the finish which supports the wine otherwise. Thick-skinned yellow fruit flavours, similar to nose. No oak here, of course, and although it’s not exactly profound, it’s showing no sign at all of falling over, so maybe it’s just a case of waiting patiently until additional complexity develops. At least medium length on the finish, and it’s quite even across the palate too, so all the signs are good.

Very pale green/ gold colour Limes on the nose, touch of toastiness, Lean and sharp on the palate, fresh lemon juice and a touch of rind. Creamy texture. Light body. Just picking up some almond and toast. Two years since the last bottle and this has barely shifted. It's good but still needs years for the full Tahbilk marsanne magic. Drunk with fish cakes. Next day it's a bit more open but really this needs time.

Tasted blind, you might think this was Hunter Valley Semillon. Similar lime/honeysuckle feel, with lamp oil on the nose and a wet stone finish. First time I've had this wine and certainly different from what I expect of Marsanne (other than being relatively low acid). I found a quick decant followed by putting it back in bottle blew off some of the reducive qualities. Very curious to see how these evolve. Delicious with pickled fish.

Wow, exactly a year since my last bottle of this. What timing! Intensely limey nose, just a hint of toastiness. Sharp citrus on the palate, intense, but it is beginning to fill out. Texture is creamy. Long.Still very young but starting to get the magic. Drunk with smoked salmon on toast. One of my favourite wines on good form.

Colour: Silver with a touch of gold
Nose: Lime, melon - subdued
Palette: Lemon, lime, melon with medium long acidic finish.
Pretty simple at the moment and I have no idea when it will flesh out with tertiary flavours.
