Ruby color. Ripe black fruit, mint, and vanilla. Dry, fine medium tannins, medium acidity, high alcohol. Moderate complexity with shortish finish, alcohol a touch out of balance. Fairly light on its feet for a Barossa Shiraz. Juicy and delicious.

Not a fan of this, in my opinion, unbalanced Shiraz. There are many different flavours in the glass - but they do NOT add up to a good experience. Violet coloured with aromas of candied cherries in the glass, the flavour starts with a sweet sugary note, followed by candied cherries, alcohol, and light cedar tannins. The wine leaves the taster with a mouth puckeringly unpleasant tea bag finish. We have long been a lover of big and wonderful Australian reds, but this one misses the mark. Final evaluation- glad we only bought one bottle and will not buy it again.

Nice but not exceptional. Undeniable quality fruit and winemaking.
Nose is muted but hints of a deep dark savouriness lurk beneath.
Palate is round and generous. Lovely fruit that isn't overripe or extracted. Dark berries with a hint of strawberry underpin the wine which exhibits as a medium + body.
Thankfully there wasnt the sourness evident in the last bottle (that I put down to overzealous decanting and use of an aerator).
Am guessing it is at its peak but with 5 more bottles in the cellar, I would be happy to be proven wrong over the next few years.
I should open another bottle to be sure ;-) but to hedge my bets I might leave 2 bottles in the cellar and consume the other 3 in the next 12 months.

Very fruit forward, easy to drink, with a soft finish. Nothing complex here, but a nicely crafted and balanced wine.

Same notes as last time.
This wine just works (no fuss)
Got to figure out how long to hold the next 4 bottles and should purchase another half dozen for the future ....
