What a pretty wine! Deep ruby in the glass. Rich and inviting nose. Deft on the palate despite the 14.5% alcohol. Flavors of tar, licorice, cherry, and plum come from every direction and zip across the palate. The flavors are distinct and well etched. There is something herbal too, perhaps sage that becomes apparent from the mid-palate to the finish. The finish itself is long with all of the flavors kissed with a touch of vanilla. The wine may be a touch big for the dish, but delicious nonetheless. Some light sediment. 14.5% alc. With veal scallopini under a mushroom-red wine sauce. 01.22.22. Recommended leaning toward Highly Recommended.

Lots of red cherries in the nose, no hint of aging, still very fresh. Also surprisingly fresh on the palate dispite hot vintage. Very well developped tannins and nice, lastung acidity.

Excellent nose and pallet. Classic southside Brunello crafted in a traditional manner. Definitely exited the bottle shock stage after its travels earlier this summer

Color: Deep, rich cherry; almost ox blood
Nose: tight, but showing cherry, licorice and anise.
Palate: Hard and just not giving up much. People did not re-visit this bottle very much.
With Rednecks and Red Rhones at Chez South. Highly Recommended.
