  Can’t say the wine lived up to the expectations of that price range. It was still “closed” with the barrique hiding most of the aromas. Tannins were soft and had long finish. I wanted more from the first brunello I ever tried

  Oh wow is that really nice earthy spice red fruit savory and dry. 2011 was a warm vintage but not as warm as 2009. Also. 11 was wet and humid at the end so probably no reserve. Probably some of them were in barrique. But from my memory of being here in 14 there were no more barrique. So I think this was probably rotated very quickly. And still very pure on the palate. Fleshed out with a tobacco note. Very long.
