very nice over two nights... wasn't brutish as some said but def'ly drank young for an '04... full minus body with good acidity and dark flavors, dark red fruit, some spice (felt like wood spice), 1-2 pts of upside, would not hesitate to take to a dinner with friends, gave this about a three hour decant before drinking a couple glasses over 2 hours

Two hour decant then consumed over about an hour. What a wine! Ethereal nose of cherry, violets and a touch or tar. Still slightly tannic but very fine and pleasant with no hard edge. Great mouthfeel and long finish. Cherry, dusty minerals, a bit of tar and licorice, leather and violets. One of the nicest barolos I have had. Pricy but worth it imo. Several people at the little party asked if I could get a few bottles for them. This was either first or second place out of 5 $130 + wines.

We walked through a block of paulo scavinos vines near annuziata this morning, and thought we would order this with dinner on the off chance that it was the very same grapes. It’s a lovely wine, drinking very well. We found cloves, plums and stone fruits, a bit of leather on the nose.

Muted at first, opened up after three hours. Dark fruit on the palate, wait 2-5 years and this will be delightful.
