I was really looking forward to this Franco-Italian Pinot Noir, but unfortunately I was disappointed by its over-the-top barnyard aromas and by its thinness. The color was medium ruby. The fruit on the nose was practically imperceptible due to the organic earthy aromas and Brett. The palate was dry and tart, with medium (+) acidity, medium tannins and medium alcohol. The mouthfeel was thin. I raised the question in the tasting group as to whether this was a flawed bottle, but the consensus was that it is just very "Burgundian." Well, they can keep it. I can get much better high altitude, high latitude Patagonian Pinot Noirs at half the price.
