This wine was fairly light bodied even for Pinot with relatively low amount of tannins and and medium high acid level. Very lifted and fresh with a nice concentration of red fruits. This wine would be incredibly versatile food wise and should pair beautifully with seafood, steak, or pasta. It would be worth seeking out this relatively unknown wine from a very unknown wine region in Italy. Drinking well now but I actually think it may be worth stashing a few away and trying it five years later to see where it goes.

Clear, medium (-) ruby. The nose is clean, medium in intensity, with tart red cherries, and some sweet baking spices. The nose is developing and much cleaner than the 2013 and 2012. The palate is dry, with medium acid, medium tannin, medium alcohol (13%). Overall this wine is nicely balanced, with medium flavor intensity and length. There’s a pleasant balsamic note on the finish. This is better than the 2013 and drinking well now.
