With Turkey Chili…. Was not sure how it was gonna go but amazed at a luscious fruity berry filled wine. Loose topsoil earth, wet leaves, iron and bell peppers round it out Simply amazing but stoked upon release probably helped. Nose and finish keep this from being 93 points.

Opened an hour before we drank. The wine maker told us that people drank his sins too early and he was right! This was delicious. A little spicy, no old must. Deep read color. Really good. Sorry it’s our last

In spite of positive Cellar Tracker notes in the past few months, this came as a pleasant surprise. The cork was almost completely soaked, but there was no funk or indications of oxidation on the nose. Pretty light color, clear at the rim. Nice nose that became more prominent over the course of an hour. Bright red berries on the nose and on the palate, along with traces of pepper. Fairly light body, but a lengthy, almost sweet finish. No obvious heat. Unmistakeably a zin, but I might have guessed it was from 2006, not 1996.
