  • Found on the excellent wine list at La Collegiata, San Gim. Couldn't resist. Wine decanted off fine sediment and left to breath 30 mins. Wine colour is off brick. Nose of spice and meat and some faint acetone. Earthy and animal as well. Tastes of treacle, dark fruit and a touch of horse. Then on the palate comes an alcohol bite and a trace of nail polish. Finishes with a pleasing coffee bitterness. The sediment remaining adds a touch of cocoa powder the the mouth feel. Drinks its age but a very thought provoking wine and one I'm glad I had. No rating.

  • matured fruit, spices and herbs on the nose, medium weight, mouthwatering acidity, quite an elegant approach, dried red fruit and hints of hoisin sauce, great with tomato sauce, very soft and resolved at this point, drink now

  • Not brooding at all. Still lively fruit and spice on the nose. An adequate mouthfull of soft tannins, cherry and a good acidic grip. Won't go much further from here, but a tasty bottle right now.

  • Surprisingly alive with vibrant fruit and nice acidity. Most likely won't improve from here, and certainly not for the fruit-bombers out there. Old world class.
