I agree with the prior taster: HdV wines, in general, are some of the most underrated wines on the market... This Syrah was delicious, although it will never be confused with a Grange!

I think HdV wines, in general, are some of the most underrated wines out there. Their chardonnay is amazing, but this '01 Syrah was off the charts. I would go so far as to say that in a blind tasting this wine would be taken for so MANY more expensive wines... This wine had perfect balance, fruit and complexity. LOVED it!

Had this wine with a good burger at Prune Restaurant in NYC. A great match! The wine had mellowed, but has retained the essence of the fruit with great balance and just enough acidity and tannin to keep the wine in top form. All around a great experience.

Raspberry, cherry, jam, simple, short finish, not offensive, but not spectacular. Decent wine, but not great.

Very good. Drinking at peak. Dark red fruit with very smooth tannins.
