  • This opaque crimson wine (100% Syrah), aged for 16 months in 20% new French oak, serves up an enticing aromatic package of dark bramble fruits, blueberries, espresso, iron, exotic spices and black pepper. Full-bodied, seamlessly alcoholic (13.9%), proportionately oaked and with medium-weight, fine-grained tannins, it delivers flavors aligned with the aromas, standing out from the crowd by virtue of its bright acidity. Dense and layered on the mid-palate, it finishes with impressive length and equally impressive lift. Tasted over a three-hour interval from a bottle that had been decanted through a Vinturi aerator, this will definitely reward those who have the patience to give it at least an hour of air, but will also reward those with the forbearance to give it some time in the cellar. Drink 2025-2034.

  • Deep, dark, purple garnet in color, essentially opaque. Full, forward & attractive nose of ripe fruit aromas of dark cherries, blackberries & plums with overtones of spice notes & pepper, mint, earthy/dusty, floral notes of violets, cocoa, herbs, minerals & a slight hint of oak/vanilla in the background. Full bodied with a very good concentration of well balanced & smooth textured, lush, ripe fruit flavors of dark cherries, blackberries & plums with spices, cocoa, herbs, minerals & a hint of oak/vanilla. Lingering finish. Drinks quite well with decanting & extended airing & even at 5 years of age, it will definitely benefit from additional aging.
