A pretty big boned Loire cab franc, the nose has the green bell pepper and graphite mixed with black currant fruits thing going on, the palate is less impressive and has less definition, some fine tannins linger in the finish and on the tip of the tongue. 12%

An outstanding QPR. Nose shows classic Cab. Franc aromas with tamed pyrazine notes. The moderate palate shows medium tannins that provide grip, above moderate acidity and moderate alcohol. Supple mouth feel. Flavors of cherry, red currant, slightly dried cranberry, bramble, crushed dried florals, bay leaf, herbs, tobacco, chalky mineral and stone that lingers through the finish

This is really good - and, I think the QPR is high. Not as much cab franc green pepper flavor as expected but still a nice wine. Clean and pure and bright. More like Beaujolais feel in the mouth, with vivid red fruit, moderate but balanced acidity, and a dusty minerality from nose to finish. For $20 this is hard to beat.

Light-bodied, floral. Oak was still more prominent than I expected; if you have these, consider waiting a couple more years to open them.

Balanced, acidic, a little fruity. Very enjoyable. Not too complex.
