Four hour decant, this exhibits cherry notes, wet stone, celery and underbrush in both the nose and palate. Air is a requirement for this one, it starts off too dominated by the vegetal side of its nature, air time allows its funk to blow off and it fruit side to come out.

PnP. ABV 13%. Intermixed of dark soils and flowers on the nose. Smooth and sweet on the entry, already drinking well. Mostly dark fruits with good density and length. Ripe and fine-grained tannins, elegant with excellent balance. Good wine and exceptional QPR as I paid £87/6 IB, what a great bargain! Back up the truck if you see it at that kind of price. This has to be the bargain of the year! 92+ almost 93, maybe 92.5001. Stagflation era kind of wine.

Zippy nose of tart cherries. The mid-palate has a good acidity, more sour cherries and blackcurrants, some green vegetables (nice herby note), some white pepper… nice length. Fresh. Not my favorite style but not a bad wine at all.
Tasted blind, it was classic Loire Cab Franc... fresh green bell pepper sprinkled in white pepper, with a bit of smoke. There isn't an abundance of acid or tannin... it's a nice wine for that genre.

PNP and consumed in one sitting.
The vegetal side was more in the background. This bottle at this time was very harmonious. Dark fruit won out on the finish. Very satisfying.
