Great 2008 red color, 2% milk body, super nose and taste of black fruits, tamed herbs. Decent 30 secs finish. Could easily cellar for several more yrs.
My favorite Chinon producer still.

($15) 12.5% ABV. Green, herbal, vegetal nose. The palate is extracted, making the wine light to medium bodied, but the fruit is clearly on the underripe side of the brix measurement in my opinion. Day two it seemed to have deteriorated into aromas of ashtray and liquified bell pepper. I wanted to like this, but it just wasn't going to happen.

Nice soft Chinon with light sweet red fruits.
Not as weighty as the 2005s but still enjoyable.
It would do well slightly chilled on a hot day (though I generally only chill whites).
