  Ruby red with rust at edges. Bright nose. Initially tart like pomegranate with some orange and a hint of earth and herb. Over an hour, settles out and some earthiness is more evident. Much more balanced and less astringent. Medium body, moderate finish. Very enjoyable with chicken parm and pasta with ratatouille.

  Been several years since my previous bottle - and time has been good for this wine. The sharp edges are gone and the wine seems bigger and richer. Ruby red with a hint of tea in the meniscus. Medium bodied with a lean, eleegant mouthfeel and drying tannins. Slightly acidic finish made it a great food wine. I got hints of orange, mushroom, cranberry and earthi-ness with nice depth on the palate, but not really any licorice or leather. I love lean, elegant, earthly, flavorful red wines and this was right in my sweet spot. I scored prior bottles 87 & 89, but this was 92-93.
