  • Bottle off the wine list over dinner at O Boeuf a 6 Pattes.
Appearance is clear, deep intensity, ruby colour. Legs.
Nose is not clean, with aromas of slight brett, dark animal meat, Provencal florals and herbs, vegetal earth, red licorice, pepper spice. Developing.
On the palate, dry, medium acidity, medium+ alcohol (14%), furry medium+ tannins, full body. Medium+ flavour intensity, with flavours of blackberries, dark animal meat, brambly dark earth, pepper spice, red licorice. Long finish with fur and spice.
Good quality. Haha ignore my score and entire tasting note if you are a Brett hater. Look away now. This wine doesn't have a whole lot of fruit, but it does have quite a fair it of other complex CdP notes going on. Drinking well now, and should continue to do so brettily over the next 2-3 years. No need for very long ageing.
With more air, become a bit bitter vegetal. Maybe drink up sooner rather than later.
