  • A very good showing despite a questionnable cork.
    Slightly low fill. Not decanted.
Hue reflected age and Grenache character towards evolution.
Excellent complexity with some residual fruit but mostly on the tertiary side with earthy and spicy notes.
Still significant tannin structure from this outstanding vintage nicely holding everything together. Slightly dusty tannins; not helped by cork.
    Long, pleasant finish.
A great effort from this little known estate.

  • Vibrant ruby color with nice depth, this was ultimately like a very fully mature Cotes du Rhone with no flash or pizzaz. A hint of prune on the nose and palate but did not taste raisinated. Some earth, very flat palate with no pronounceable finish. Easily 15-25 years past peak, even in one of the best ever CdP vintages. Could not determine cepage, either Grenache, Cinsault, Clairette Blanc, or GSM in some %.
