  • An odd bottle that needed a couple of hours to open up and blow off some bottle funk. Good juicy fruit with some botrytis sweetness/spice. Solid but slightly disappointing showing.

  • A fleshy mineral driven profile with good depth dry extract. Pretty classical Meursault with the richness of the vintage clearly on display. Holding well after 7 years with no sign of oxidation. Would like to see a bit perhaps more precision and complexity, although clearly this is still very good.

  • 94+ This wine shows its exceptionalism quite quickly with a complex nose of floral and fruit notes, delicate yet intense. Lemon, grapefruit, apple, and peach intermingle with hints of oak. The wine is constantly changing, making it intellectually interesting but hard to pin down. It has the laser precision of a great Chablis, Roulot clearly picked early. Yet, it also has a lot of intensity, almost too much that it benefits from some food - cheese, fish, and some fatty falafel and hummus in my case. It's youthful and will age well, and likely get better. I'm happy to say this Roulot did not disappoint!

  • What a high difference in complexity and quality compared to the simple Bourgogne Blanc 2015, we tried a few weeeks ago! This one had brought the thunder with a variation of stone- and citrusfruits as well as almonds/hazelnuts (roasted and fresh ones), smoke, gunpowder and yeast. Intense accidity, long finish. Not a everyday-wine, but found for a very reasonable price.

  • So good over three hours. A little tight initially but was ripping after 20 minutes of air. Citrus and minerality. Great acidity that keeps things lively and energetic.
