  Part of a wine dinner. Decanted off sediment and slow ox'd for 8 hours.
  
  Gorgeous gorgeous wine. Dried red cherry, damp earth, mushroom, tinge of dried herbs. Lovely structure with balanced acidity. Classic aged brunello. Paired beautifully with neapolitan pizza and morelle rissoto.
  
  Will probably hold for another 5-10 years but drinks just beautifully now.

  Classic dark reddish brick in color. Aromas of dried cherries, herbs, hint of leather and earth/mushrooms. Structured and refined on the palate, showing classic mix of cherries with savory elements, balanced acidity and a decent earthy finish. Good on its own, and great with food.

  mature fruit, earth. 'mineral' and black tea; fading a bit on day two; just right with Italian comfort food; no reason to hold these

  Very good, although still somewhat tannic BDM. Two hour decant and then improved steadily over two hour drinking window. Dark fruit. May still improve in bottle of fruit holds up.

  Decanted 3 hours. Terrific, mature fruit, still going strong. Renews my faith in Brunello and makes me wish I'd bought more of more recent vintages.
