Decanted about 2 hours, this bottle was all about ripe-very ripe plum, blackberry, mocha and spice. Oak and structure is there. Etoh? meh; maybe Jemby would've liked this bottle better... Still excellent on day 2 w/o gas or fridge. Now-2025.

At Mark’s. Opened six hours before tasting. Nice color with dark mature fruit aroma. Soft and round. Very tasty but perhaps just a bit short on the finish. Certainly ready to drink now. The alcohol at 15.2% is well-hidden.

The lovely, rich, black cherry/blackberry fruit, and the appealing hints of oak vanilla are all marred--one should say destroyed--by a ridiculous level of alcholol (15.2%) which completely overwhelms this wine, imposing a firey blanket over what could have been a real winner. But the winemakers were too ambitious and failed to pick at the right time--even three days earlier might have made an enormous difference. What fools. But also what con artists to issue the wine under the top label and ask $50+ for it. A huge disappointment.

Totally oxidized. Poured down the drain. From wine club, stored well.
