Needs about 30 min to open up. Medium bodied, fruit left. This is in a good spot right now and in its prime. Average balance and finish and no heat. Good value. Should drink this within next 2-3 years.

As good as I remember from the last tasting. Refined and austere. Still a fair amount of tannin. Earth and caramel. Leather and tobacco. Nice fruit. Not the crappy merlot that has come to be identified with California. More emblematic of a St. Emillion.

Opened for "you should have opened that bottle a while ago" tasting party. It was still very good.
