Tuesday Night Double Blind Tasting, $30-$50 (Bin 75): Darker, color change. Nose has a hint of celery, but sweet too. A touch of VA. Good acid and tannin still, so a bit out of balance with fruit faded a bit. Not sure it will ever mellow out before the fruit is gone, so I'd drink up.

Gorgeous translucent ruby. Heavy vanilla nose, with spiced fruitcake aromas. Luxurious entry of baker's chocolate, plums and smoky cedar with a long, long finish. Great merlot texture of saddle leather. Completely resolved silky smooth tannins. Got this recently ($35 hammer) on winebid and would buy more.

Very Dark with garnet edges...pre barnyard nose with strong heat and what i can only describe as an earthen red fruit nose...graphite, leather, licorice and an ever so slight mint finish with slightest hint of mocha. Still full heat in the mid palate and finish. Tannins are pleasant and work well with a marbled steak.
