From Elmo's cellar. Dark and brooding color with vibrant and young nose of classic Cote-Rotie aromas of iron, dark fruits and meat. The palate isn't quite up to the great nose however. Not thin, but somewhat lean and lacking the depth of the 1991 Jamet or Ogier. Never had an older Clusel-Roch before and this was still a treat. Would love to try an older Grands Place.

La Tablee: The Glory of Cote Rotie (Clusel Roch) (Il Buco Alimentari & Vineria): This was a very complete wine. More floral (almost a touch handsoap but not quite that level), lavender, well structured, very pretty. Still the black fruits. It's a nice wine in a good window.
