2 hrs in carafe. Nice aromas, med-mild tannins and quite a nice acidity… may be too much. I still have a few bottles in the cellar, I’ll let them rest and age for another year or so.

What IKKAARIAINEN wrote below. I have had four bottles of this prior, between 2016 and 2020. Wasn’t bad before, but at this point the wine has raised its game to a new level. Actually feels youthful, with a nice acidity, while well balanced with fresh fruit, to me cherries more than anything else, as well as grippy yet caressing tannins. Have had a few 2014’s as well, saw the same thing, really benefits from cellaring. Excellent value and very enjoyable at this stage.

Excellent QPR wine at our acquisition cost. Entry level baby Ornellaia, our last of 3 bottles and this is now in a perfect drinking window - wish we had several more. Drink or hold right now with at least a good 2-3 more years to go with proper cellaring prior to any degradation but probably no real further upside to more cellaring. Went just beautifully with deep dish Chicago style pizza. Dark purple, soft and smooth, medium bodied and extremely well integrated with a medium length aftertaste. Nose of plum, pepper and lavender. Profile of blackberries, blueberries, black pepper and development subsequently tar and stone with a more floral note on the aftertaste. Highly recommend.

A real surprise! A nice & pleasant Sangiovese.
The body is light. The wine has smooth texture. The wine finishes short. The wine has low acidity.
