Deep ruby red, almost opaque, with red brim. Pleasant fruity nose with notes of plums, cherries and cassis. Mouthfeel is full bodied, fruity and youthful, with fine-grained tannins, nice acidity, well integrated oak character and notes of plums, cherries, cassis and just a touch of pencil shave.
This is still quite youthful and to the primary fruit, and will probably easily develop well for ten years more.

Opened the bottle about an hour before dinner and poured into my glass using a Venturi aerator. Wine was slow to open up, but by the end of dinner I became convinced that this was a very good Right Bank Bordeaux. Dark fruit ripe plum, black cherry on the nose first taste. Medium+ to full body with the fruit taste evolving into a smoky mellow tannins, leaving a nice dry mouth finish. Finished the bottle two days later and it was even better.

Decanted 45 min, no appreciable sediment. Aromas of ripe plum, black currant and herbs/earth. Medium bodied, cherry and plum fruits with some mocha and a little tobacco leaf. Mostly resolved tannins in the short-to-mid-length finish. Seems nearing peak, but has structure for another 5 years or so. 89-90.

Deep ruby red colour. Medium nose with black cherry, dark plum, cedar, leather and black pepper. Medium taste of black cherry, dark plum, leather, cedar and black pepper. Long and dry finish. High acidity. High tannins. Medium body. A good Fronsac that drinks well now. Goes well with beef or lamb.
