  I realize/guess that this wine might be "over the hill", but it was still excellent. At first, the tannins were a little stiff, but eventually, the wine balanced. Classic Bordeaux palate. Fruit in the background, but not absent. This bottle is just one of the many reasons (bottles) I like Bordeaux. The last of a pair I got some time ago.

  Reasonable, even very good, but probably past its prime (Aug 2007). Still some good tannins, a little fruit hiding in there. Improved considerably through the bottle. Let the next one breathe for at least 1 hour. Still a decent claret.
