orange in color, fruit on nose is muted, slightly volatile but more noticable EA. textural and provocative, but not pleasurable, none of the magic of some of the best

I really wanted to like this wine, but it was oxidized and faulty. After two similar experiences with Clos de Bergerie, I have to assume this is a feature and not an off bottle. I believe, like others have pointed out below, that this wine doesn't travel well. Forceberry and other tasters from Europe that I respect have great things to say about this wine, but by the time it gets to Ohio, it tastes like watered down sherry mixed with infant droppings.

Tasted blind. Oxidized style, dark yellow gold. Feels very much like a dry cider. Very dry, saline, notes pf burned apples. Interesting and not unpleasant but not something I’d drink often.

Interesting expression of an aged chenin blanc, leaning towards a dessert demeanor with a level of sweetness captured in the darker gold color in the glass. The right amount of acidity holds up the richness this has to offer.
