  (Tasting) dinner at Barbaracca Godalming celebrating friends' wedding anniversary. Limited note taking.
  We were tasting a range of wines from Librandi, Calabria (with excellent food). I have to say, with this exception, I found the wines suffered from lack of depth and over-ripeness (red and white wines) and I haven't noted them here.
  The only oaked wine in the flight, this 100% Mantonico had a tongue coating vanilla hit, aromatic fruit core, some dry herb and enough acidity to balance. Good if not particularly memorable.
  For drinking over the next 18 months. Decent value at c.£7-8 retail.

  Buon vino da uva Mantonico, pulito e preciso.
  Vitigno che richiama sorprendentemente alcune peculiarità del Sauvignon blanc, leggermente erbaceo e con un ottima sapidità.
  Nel bicchiere, dopo le prime note verdi sviluppa sentori di pesca bianca, frutti esotici, fiori di gelsomino, mandorle dolci, fresche erbe aromatiche mediterranee. In bocca è intenso e ricco ma non pesante, molto persistente, dall'attacco cremoso e dal finale minerale.
  Bianco importante ben eseguito, prezzo corretto (10 euro).
