  This is good, and better then I remember when I tried it a couple of years ago. Slightly muted nose. Nice berry fruit on a medium bodied palate. Light tannins. Good acidity. Made in the "K" style, but not offering up enough of all the complexities and deliciousness that other wines carry. Slightly overpriced at $30.

  Had this with take out BBQ. I agree with the comments that others made on this wine that it seems to be lacking complexity, however, I like it. Not picking up any heat, the nose seems to be muted at the one hour mark (did not decant) but the palate is quite enjoyable but short. I pick up a hint of spice and black fruit and very soft tannins. Good stuff.

  Drank with shawnbi. Nice but not as good as I had hoped given how good their $10 bottles of house red and table wine are. This had a dark color and good concentration/mouthfeel but was lacking the spice and complexity I was hoping for.

  Decanted for about three hours. This has lots of plum on the aroma with plenty of heat, but some violets, some blueberry notes. The wine is really purple and really dark, but not all that weighty. Not a whole lot going on with the palate, just some plum and black cherry that eventually gives way to faint spice, light tannins. Tart finish is OK length, nothing great. Maybe a bit early, but a disappointment compared to the 2002.
