Great drinking window. Two hour decant. Well balanced. Cherry, tobacco, vanilla notes. The decant softened the alcohol and really allowed the fruit and woodsy notes to come out. I wish I had another case of this wine because it should continue to improve with more age, or drink today. Very enjoyable wine.

I decanted this wine for 2 1/2 hours, then rebottled it, and put the bottle into the cool garage for another hour to get it down to cellar temperature. We served it with rib roast, polenta and Caesar salad.
The aromas from the wine upon pouring were voluptuously fruity. On the palate, we found rich fruit, chiefly black cherry, blackberry, and black plum. There were nuances of tobacco, and my wife detected a little black pepper. Later, pleasant woody (non-oaky) and chocolate milk aromas emerged.
The acidity and tannins were less assertive than I would have liked, leading me to discern that this wine is on the downhill side of its drinking window. They continued to fade as we drank it, so we probably didn't need to decant it. I would suggest to you, if you have this wine, to drink it now, don't wait.
Edit: after another hour, the tannins lengthen considerably. This is a delicious wine.
Pretty good cab. Coravined a large glass and drank over an hour or so. Opened up rather quickly. The wine is full bodied and is very nice with full fruit flavors. May still need more time, but certainly is drinkable now.

Really nice. Decanted and started drinking. At 2 hr in, wine became very smooth. Berry on top, maybe some coffee. Quite rich. Really in its zone.
