Dark fruit, cocoa/mocha, and Asian spices mentioned on previous notes. Wonderful finish. One of the best QPR's around. Mellow tannins so drink within the next couple years.
Opened and sat for 2jours while preparing dinner. Out of the bottle, it had a jammy dark fruit aroma. It was a dark ink with the edges dark as well. At first sip, it was spectacular and did not disappoint. It only got more layers of flavor as the bottle progressed. Randy and team really had something here! Great job.
4th Saturday Brown Bagger (R&D’s): Double blind. Inky opaque color. Aromas of chocolate and Asian spices, along with black currant and root beer. Plush and velvety texture, with flavors of cassis, blackberry and blueberry; plenty of oak influence as well, though it works well with the abundant fruit. (R&D)

Hard to give this a score, so I won’t. This is beastly, full of syrupy black fruit and creme de cassis. While it has structure and backbone, the fruit overpowers and the alcohol is detectable on the finish.
