Great bang for the buck, The 2010 Mason’s had black and red fruit aromatics. On the palate, we found your typical Lewis blackberry & blueberry, oak and a bit tannic.

You have to be a fan of the Lewis style but if you are this is a great buy. Big bad boy with some balance-oak, cherry, a little earthier than the regular cabs. Solid.

California Cabernets (Vin Vino Wine, Palo Alto, CA): dark red, purple in color. spice, dark fruit, black pepper, campground fire pit, on the nose. blackberry, clove, mocha, oak, vanilla, spice, fresh soil, on the palate. medium acid and tannins on this sweet finish.

we are really enjoying this - drinkable now but also seems like it will get better over the next few years. very good for a second wine and well priced. lots of chocolate and cassis, full bodied and long finishing

OK, a little disappointing. Not sure if it was this wine or a just another 2010 disappointment. Thin, no bright fruit.
