I think, better than the last bottle. Alas I have no more but if someone out there does, I would advise that this stuff will still cellar well for another year or two. Dried apricot, pineapple, buttery and slippery mouthfeel. A wonderful experience.

No doubt past its prime, but a wonderful drinking experience. Dry, the fruit mellowed with age the wine is a mixture of butterscotch and dried apricot with a silky mouthfeel and almost an alkalinity to it. The apple and pineapple mentioned by a review in 2000 is gone, no doubt due to the age, but the experience remains very positive. I have one more bottle and plan to down it soon. A fine wine for a second that held up well in the cellar.

Made in the same way as the Grand Vin, so 50% new oak, 10 months barrique ageing with regular batonnage, yield of 33 hl/ha. The nose displays minerality, rich vanilla, grapefruit and yellow prune; velvety texture, lovely stuffing, concentrated, classic structure; very good length. Impressive.

Full colour; interesting aromas of vegetables, peach and spicy oak; firm, dry, good stuffing and solid structure; good length, slightly waxy. Now.
